    Eskişehir Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences, founded in 1958, formed the basis of Anadolu University. The Academy was replaced by Anadolu University in 1982, which has gained a well-deserved place as a modern, dynamic and innovative institution among the largest universities not only in Türkiye, but also in the world.

    Kısa adıyla BAP (Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri), yüksek öğretim kurumlarındaki bilimsel araştırmaların desteklenmesi amacıyla geliştirilmiş bir uygulamadır. Bu uygulama YÖK'ün 01.01.2002 tarihinden geçerli olmak üzere yürülüğe aldığı Yükseköğretim Kurumları Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri Hakkında Yönetmelik uyarınca gerçekleştirilmektedir. Üniversitemizin tüm öğretim elemanları BAP Komisyonuna başvurarak bilimsel araştırmaları için kaynak alabilirler.

    At Anadolu University, social and cultural activities are as important as education and scientific research. The University frequently holds scientific events such as conferences, seminars, panels, congresses and symposia, and cultural activities such as exhibitions, stage performances and concerts. In addition to smaller conference halls in each unit, Atatürk Culture and Arts Center, Congress Center and Cinema Anadolu on Yunusemre Campus house many activities throughout the year.

Learning Outcomes

  • Learns embryonic and normal brain development including speech and language disorders in children and comprehends the nature of communicative disorders according to the developmental milestones.
  • Learns the development of neuromotor skills throughout childhood as well as gross motor-fine motor, language, cognitive and social developing skills of central nervous system. Discusses the developmental milestones which are age-specific skills that most children can do at a certain age range.
  • Discusses the risk factors which are supposed to be involved in disability and follow up examination of high risky infants.
  • Discusses the clinical manifestations and neurological complications of central nervous system infections like meningitis and encephalitis that are seen in childhood a lot.
  • Learns the manifestations and causes of hearing loss as well as its effects on speech and language development in children. Discusses the introduction of nature of communicative disorders including hearing disorders in children.
  • Learns the manifestations and causes of hearing loss as well as its effects on speech and language development in children. Discusses the introduction of nature of communicative disorders including hearing disorders in children.
  • Discusses the definition and clinical manifestations of cerebral palsy which is a nonprogressive motor disorder and the most frequent cause of lifelong childhood disability. Learns rehabilitation alternatives and multidiciplinary approach of this disorder.
  • Discusses structures of childhood epilepsies and learns how to give first aid to a child having seizures.
  • Learns speech and language development in children, causes of delayed speech and its effects on communicative disorders.
  • Discusses the effects of neurological diseases found with autistic findings in childhood on speech and language development.
  • Draws attention to interdisciplinary team work in chronic neurologic diseases.
  • Learns how to diagnose physical child abuse as well as its neurologic and psychological affects. Discusses how to provide an awareness of physical child abuse in general population and its solutions.
