    Eskişehir Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences, founded in 1958, formed the basis of Anadolu University. The Academy was replaced by Anadolu University in 1982, which has gained a well-deserved place as a modern, dynamic and innovative institution among the largest universities not only in Türkiye, but also in the world.

    Kısa adıyla BAP (Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri), yüksek öğretim kurumlarındaki bilimsel araştırmaların desteklenmesi amacıyla geliştirilmiş bir uygulamadır. Bu uygulama YÖK'ün 01.01.2002 tarihinden geçerli olmak üzere yürülüğe aldığı Yükseköğretim Kurumları Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri Hakkında Yönetmelik uyarınca gerçekleştirilmektedir. Üniversitemizin tüm öğretim elemanları BAP Komisyonuna başvurarak bilimsel araştırmaları için kaynak alabilirler.

    At Anadolu University, social and cultural activities are as important as education and scientific research. The University frequently holds scientific events such as conferences, seminars, panels, congresses and symposia, and cultural activities such as exhibitions, stage performances and concerts. In addition to smaller conference halls in each unit, Atatürk Culture and Arts Center, Congress Center and Cinema Anadolu on Yunusemre Campus house many activities throughout the year.

  • Will be able to explain the basic concepts related to geography.
  • Explains the position of geography in other branches of science and its relationship with them.
  • Explains the relationships between the basic elements of physical geography and human geography and its sub-disciplines such as population geography and economic geography.
  • Will be able to comment on the geopolitical importance of Turkey.
  • Can explain the basic differences between place, space and location.
  • Can make evaluations about international organizations of which Turkey is a member.
  • Comment on the relations between Turkey and the European Union.
  • Will be able to comment on Turkey's population structure and demography.
  • Makes comments about the population structure of Turkey.
  • Comment on the demographic transformation in Turkey from the Republic to the present.
  • Define concepts such as aging population, population pyramid, population by educational status, crude mortality and birth rate, schooling rate.
  • Can distinguish between internal migration and external migration. Interpret the factors underlying the phenomenon of migration from a historical perspective in terms of Turkey.
  • Will be able to comment on the development and importance of the agricultural sector in Turkey.
  • Can explain the geographical distribution of the agricultural sector in Turkey.
  • Comment on the historical development and importance of the agricultural sector in Turkey.
  • Explains the main differences between rural and urban settlements.
  • Will be able to comment on Turkey's industrialization and urbanization process.
  • Can comment on the Industrial Revolution and the issues that led to the Industrial Revolution.
