Eskişehir Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences, founded in 1958, formed the basis of Anadolu University. The Academy was replaced by Anadolu University in 1982, which has gained a well-deserved place as a modern, dynamic and innovative institution among the largest universities not only in Türkiye, but also in the world.

Kısa adıyla BAP (Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri), yüksek öğretim kurumlarındaki bilimsel araştırmaların desteklenmesi amacıyla geliştirilmiş bir uygulamadır. Bu uygulama YÖK'ün 01.01.2002 tarihinden geçerli olmak üzere yürülüğe aldığı Yükseköğretim Kurumları Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri Hakkında Yönetmelik uyarınca gerçekleştirilmektedir. Üniversitemizin tüm öğretim elemanları BAP Komisyonuna başvurarak bilimsel araştırmaları için kaynak alabilirler.

At Anadolu University, social and cultural activities are as important as education and scientific research. The University frequently holds scientific events such as conferences, seminars, panels, congresses and symposia, and cultural activities such as exhibitions, stage performances and concerts. In addition to smaller conference halls in each unit, Atatürk Culture and Arts Center, Congress Center and Cinema Anadolu on Yunusemre Campus house many activities throughout the year.

BASIC VETERINARY PARASITOLOGY

Learning Outcomes

Will be learned (i) how to describe of a parasite (ii) the nomenclature and the life-cycle of parasites (iii) the history of parasitology and (iv) the genesis of parasites.
1.1. Can describe a parasite and knows the nomenclature of parasites
1.2. Can describe the types of parasitism and can give examples.
1.3. Learns in brief the history of parasitology and can compare the advances in parasitology from past to present.
1.4. Create queries about the genesis of parasites.
Will be learned the general properties of parasites.
2.1. Can explain the changes in living organisms during the transition period towards parasitism.
2.2. Learns the morphology of parasites and can explain the nutrition and the movement in parasites.
2.3. Can describe the main reproduction types in parasites.
Will explain the host – parasite relationship.
3.1. Can describe different host and vector types.
3.2. Can explain the localization sides of parasites in/on their hosts.
3.3. Can describe the life-cycle of parasites and knows the types of parasitism.
Will explain the transmission routes of animal and zoonotic parasites.
4.1. Knows the transmission routes of parasites.
4.2. Can describe the term zoonoses and knows the main zoonotic parasites among protozoa and metazoa.
Will explain the importance of parasites in the ecosystem.
Will explain the effects of various parasites on their hosts.
6.1. Knows parasite- and host-related factors that effect the pathogenity of parasites.
6.2. Can explain mechanic, toxic, traumatic and other effects of parasites on their hosts.
Will be learned the main diagnostic techniques to detect parasites.
7.1. Knows the major diagnostic techniques applied in live animals.
7.2. Knows how to detect parasites in dead animals.
