    Eskişehir Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences, founded in 1958, formed the basis of Anadolu University. The Academy was replaced by Anadolu University in 1982, which has gained a well-deserved place as a modern, dynamic and innovative institution among the largest universities not only in Türkiye, but also in the world.

    Kısa adıyla BAP (Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri), yüksek öğretim kurumlarındaki bilimsel araştırmaların desteklenmesi amacıyla geliştirilmiş bir uygulamadır. Bu uygulama YÖK'ün 01.01.2002 tarihinden geçerli olmak üzere yürülüğe aldığı Yükseköğretim Kurumları Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri Hakkında Yönetmelik uyarınca gerçekleştirilmektedir. Üniversitemizin tüm öğretim elemanları BAP Komisyonuna başvurarak bilimsel araştırmaları için kaynak alabilirler.

    At Anadolu University, social and cultural activities are as important as education and scientific research. The University frequently holds scientific events such as conferences, seminars, panels, congresses and symposia, and cultural activities such as exhibitions, stage performances and concerts. In addition to smaller conference halls in each unit, Atatürk Culture and Arts Center, Congress Center and Cinema Anadolu on Yunusemre Campus house many activities throughout the year.

Learning Outcomes

  • Understands the science of veterinary pathology.
  • 1.1. Is able to elaborate on pathology, its branches and its relationships with other disciplines.
  • 1.2. Is knowledgeable on what should be done for safety in pathology laboratories.
  • 1.3. Is knowledgeable on the chemical destructives and ways of being protected from them.
  • 2. Is familiar with the tissue samples being sent to veterinary pathology laboratories, and is knowledgeable on how to take samples for various laboratories during necropsy.
  • 2.1. Is able to define fixation techniques for tissue samples.
  • 2.2. Is able to explain why and through which stages the cultivation of tissue is done.
  • 2.3. Is able to elaborate on possible errors that may occur during the process of sampling the tissues.
  • Is able to define the hystochemical coloring techniques.
  • 3.1. Is able to understand the details of hystochemical coloring techniques and its basic concepts.
  • 3.2. Has a basic knowledge on microscopes.
  • 3.3. Knows in which areas the microscopes are used and is able to elaborate on the issue.
  • Is able to define the basic concepts constituting the immunohystochemical techniques.
  • 4.1. Is knowledgeable on the mechanisms of immunohystochemical techniques, the possible problems that may occur and their solutions.
  • 4.2. Is able to elaborate on the basic concepts of molecular pathology.
  • 4.3. Is able to elaborate on the mechanisms of the techniques being used in molecular pathology.
  • Is knowledgeable on the reasons of changes in tissues and cells, and the basic concepts about how they occur.
  • 5.1. Is able to define the adaptation reactions in tissues and cells.
  • 5.2. Is able to elaborate on how the dissolution of tissues and cells occur and on the difference between necrosis and apoptosis.
  • 5.3. Is able to elaborate on the accumulation of materials such as lime in tissues and cells, and on how these cause the aging of the tissues and cells.
  • Is knowledgeable on noninflammarory circulation defects in tissues and cells of the organs.
  • 6.1. Is able to elaborate on the basic concepts of circulation defects.
  • 6.2. Is able to define the mechanisms leading up to shock.
  • 6.3. Is able to elaborate on the differences that occur in shock.
  • Has a basic knowledge on the formation of inflammation and its characteristics.
  • 7.1. Is able to elaborate on the types of inflammation, the differences between them and the related hystological findings.
  • 7.2. Is able to explain the systemic effects of inflammation.
  • 7.3. Is able to define the symptoms that may occur due to inflammation.
  • Is able to define the changes that occur during tissue reparation.
  • 8.1. Is able to elaborate on the differences between the regular cell multiplication and the pathological enlargement and multiplication.
  • 8.2. Is able to elaborate on the changes that occur while the formation of new cells and tissues in place of the ones that have been effected.
  • 8.3. Is able to define the cicatrix tissue being formed during the recovery of demolished tissues and cells.
  • Has a basic knowledge on veterinary genetics.
  • 9.1. Is able to elaborate on some genetical diseases that are observed in domestic animals.
  • 9.2. Is able to elaborate on the reasons and contributing factors to certain anomalies that frequently occur in domestic animals.
  • 9.3. Is able to define the anomalies that frequently occur in domestic animals.
  • Is able to elaborate on the basic information regarding the contributing factors of tumour formation in domestic animals.
  • 10.1. Is able to elaborate on the how the tumours are named.
  • 10.2. Is knowledgeable on the differences between benign and malign tumours and their respective characteristics.
  • 10.3. Is able to elaborate on certain ways that tumours diffuse such as relapse and metastasis.
