    Eskişehir Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences, founded in 1958, formed the basis of Anadolu University. The Academy was replaced by Anadolu University in 1982, which has gained a well-deserved place as a modern, dynamic and innovative institution among the largest universities not only in Türkiye, but also in the world.

    Kısa adıyla BAP (Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri), yüksek öğretim kurumlarındaki bilimsel araştırmaların desteklenmesi amacıyla geliştirilmiş bir uygulamadır. Bu uygulama YÖK'ün 01.01.2002 tarihinden geçerli olmak üzere yürülüğe aldığı Yükseköğretim Kurumları Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri Hakkında Yönetmelik uyarınca gerçekleştirilmektedir. Üniversitemizin tüm öğretim elemanları BAP Komisyonuna başvurarak bilimsel araştırmaları için kaynak alabilirler.

    At Anadolu University, social and cultural activities are as important as education and scientific research. The University frequently holds scientific events such as conferences, seminars, panels, congresses and symposia, and cultural activities such as exhibitions, stage performances and concerts. In addition to smaller conference halls in each unit, Atatürk Culture and Arts Center, Congress Center and Cinema Anadolu on Yunusemre Campus house many activities throughout the year.

Learning Outcomes

  • Student will be able to recognize general knowledge about the language.
  • 1.1.Student defines "language" 1.2 lists the characteristics of scientific aspects of a language. 1.3. describes the theories about the origin of languages. 1.4. classifys the types of languages. 1.5. distinguishes the place of Turkish among World Languages. 1.6. evaluates the relationship between language and culture.
  • Student will be able to recognize the historical periods and the development of the Turkish language.
  • 2.1. Student classifys historical periods of Turkish. 2.2. describes the characteristics of historical periods of Turkish. 2.3. describes features of Turkish alphabet used in written language. 2.4. distinguishes the characteristics of Turkic Turkish. 2.5. analyzes the works about Turkish language in Republic Period.
  • Student will be able to recognize Turkish phonetics.
  • 3.1. Student defines general information about the Turkish alphabet and the sound system. 3.2. explains the articulation of sounds. 3.3. distinguishes the characteristics of consonant and vowel sounds in the Turkish language. 3.4. describes the Turkish syllable structure. 3.5. explains the basic sound events in Turkish. 3.6. identifys supra-segmental sounds.
  • Student will be able to recognize the Turkish morphology.
  • 4.1. Student defines the basic concepts of Turkish morphology. 4.2. describes the types of word formation in Turkish. 4.3. classifys the types of words in Turkish according to the general characteristics. 4.4. classifys the affixes in Turkish according to the general characteristics. 4.5. evaluates the characteristics of Turkish syntax. 4.6. analyzes the sentence types in Turkish according to their characteristics.
  • Student will be able to recognize general knowledge about Turkish lexicon.
  • 5.1. Student explains the characteristics and existence of idioms in Turkish. 5.2. explains the characteristics and existence of proverbs in Turkish. 5.3. describes the structures and properties of reduplication in Turkish. 5.4. describes the borrowed vocabulary in Turkish. 5.5. describes the characteristics of word derivation in Turkish.
  • Student will be able to recognize the interaction of the Turkish language with other languages.
  • 6.1. Student describes the wealth areas of the Turkish language. 6.2. analyzes the impact of the world languages on Turkish. 6.3. evaluates the impact of the Turkish language on the world languages. 6.4. interprets the span of Turkish language.
  • Student will be able to analyze the problems Turkish language faces.
  • 7.1. Student evaluates the characteristics of word and term derivation of Turkish. 7.2. analyses science language aspect of Turkish. 7.3. analyzes verbal ambiguity in Turkish. 7.4. analyzes written ambiguity in Turkish. 7.5. evaluates the use of Turkish in social media and mass media.
