    Eskişehir Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences, founded in 1958, formed the basis of Anadolu University.     Kısa adıyla BAP (Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri), yüksek öğretim kurumlarındaki bilimsel araştırmaların desteklenmesi amacıyla geliştirilmiş bir uygulamadır. Bu uygulama YÖK'ün 01.01.2002 tarihinden geçerli olmak üzere yürülüğe aldığı Yükseköğretim Kurumları Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri Hakkında Yönetmelik uyarınca gerçekleştirilmektedir. Üniversitemizin tüm öğretim elemanları BAP Komisyonuna başvurarak bilimsel araştırmaları için kaynak alabilirler.

    At Anadolu University, social and cultural activities are as important as education and scientific research. The University frequently holds scientific events such as conferences, seminars, panels, congresses and symposia, and cultural activities such as exhibitions, stage performances and concerts. In addition to smaller conference halls in each unit, Atatürk Culture and Arts Center, Congress Center and Cinema Anadolu on Yunusemre Campus house many activities throughout the year.

1 Having knowledge about basic conceptional information to understand relations between theory and practice in distance education
2 Understanding interdisciplinary interactions in distance education
3 Following national and international publications in distance education
4 Having necessary skills to do research, how to design a research process and conduct research in  distance education
5 Having skills to analyze theoretical knowledge and evaluating praactical reflections in distance education
6 Having information about prepraing academic works properly in distance education
7 Producing new knowledge and integrating knowledge different areas into  knowledge obtained from distance education.
8 Making written and spoken presentations at the national and internationa distance education meetings.
9 Taking personal and team initiatives to solve any problems and dillemas in distance education
10 Preparing and publishing at least one scientific article personally or in a team in distance education
11 Planning and managing any projects and targets in distance education
12 Setting a target, vision and mission in distance education
13 Creating awareness about lifelong learning and questioning in distance education
14 Transfering knowledge and skills related to distance education written and orally.
15 Having competences on information sharing, critical reflections and team works academically in distance education
16 Communicating with colleagues and tracking news in distance education via usign at least one foreign language (the European Language Portfolio B2 General Level)
17 Using communication and information technologies with computer software in distance education
18 Having open attidues toward innovation and transformation in distance education
19 Using internalized knowledge and/or problem solving skills at the international level and interdisciplinary studies in distance education
