    Eskişehir Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences, founded in 1958, formed the basis of Anadolu University. The Academy was replaced by Anadolu University in 1982, which has gained a well-deserved place as a modern, dynamic and innovative institution among the largest universities not only in Türkiye, but also in the world.

    Kısa adıyla BAP (Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri), yüksek öğretim kurumlarındaki bilimsel araştırmaların desteklenmesi amacıyla geliştirilmiş bir uygulamadır. Bu uygulama YÖK'ün 01.01.2002 tarihinden geçerli olmak üzere yürülüğe aldığı Yükseköğretim Kurumları Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri Hakkında Yönetmelik uyarınca gerçekleştirilmektedir. Üniversitemizin tüm öğretim elemanları BAP Komisyonuna başvurarak bilimsel araştırmaları için kaynak alabilirler.

    At Anadolu University, social and cultural activities are as important as education and scientific research. The University frequently holds scientific events such as conferences, seminars, panels, congresses and symposia, and cultural activities such as exhibitions, stage performances and concerts. In addition to smaller conference halls in each unit, Atatürk Culture and Arts Center, Congress Center and Cinema Anadolu on Yunusemre Campus house many activities throughout the year.

Learning Outcomes

  • By describing a process, the student will be able to solve problem doing material balance on this process.
  • Describes chemical processes as: batch, continuous and semibatch.
  • Draws and fully labels a flow chart for processes involving non-reactive or reactive.
  • Writes reactions on reactive processes
  • Describes input and output streams on flow chart.
  • Calculates unknown variables using material balances.
  • Interprets the system according to obtained results.
  • do energy balance on a process.
  • Defines all terms by doing energy balances on close and open systems.
  • Recognizes how is been using vapour tables, and uses it on energy calculations.
  • By doing an energy balance on non-reactive processes, the student will be able to solve a problem.
  • Defines the terms of heat capacity, and uses it on calculations of internal energy and enthalpy changes in the system.
  • By using general energy balance, calculates the unknown energy term.
  • Interprets the systems according to obtained results.
  • Describes dry and wet bulb temperature and humid volume of humid air and uses phychrometric chart for calculations of these terms.
  • Assimilates the chemical processes including humidifying
  • By doing an energy balance on reactive processes, the student will be able to solve a problem.
  • Describes that the heat of reaction: endothermic and exothermic reactions, heat of formation, heat of combustion and heating value of a fuel.
  • Writes and solves an energy balance on a chemical reactor using either the heat of reaction method or the heat of formation method, solves and interprets these problems.
