    Eskişehir Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences, founded in 1958, formed the basis of Anadolu University. The Academy was replaced by Anadolu University in 1982, which has gained a well-deserved place as a modern, dynamic and innovative institution among the largest universities not only in Türkiye, but also in the world.

    Kısa adıyla BAP (Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri), yüksek öğretim kurumlarındaki bilimsel araştırmaların desteklenmesi amacıyla geliştirilmiş bir uygulamadır. Bu uygulama YÖK'ün 01.01.2002 tarihinden geçerli olmak üzere yürülüğe aldığı Yükseköğretim Kurumları Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri Hakkında Yönetmelik uyarınca gerçekleştirilmektedir. Üniversitemizin tüm öğretim elemanları BAP Komisyonuna başvurarak bilimsel araştırmaları için kaynak alabilirler.

    At Anadolu University, social and cultural activities are as important as education and scientific research. The University frequently holds scientific events such as conferences, seminars, panels, congresses and symposia, and cultural activities such as exhibitions, stage performances and concerts. In addition to smaller conference halls in each unit, Atatürk Culture and Arts Center, Congress Center and Cinema Anadolu on Yunusemre Campus house many activities throughout the year.

Learning Outcomes

  • Students will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of television journalism as both a theoretical discipline and a professional field, including its historical development, ethical foundations, and evolving role within contemporary media environments.
  • Trace the historical development of television as a news medium and evaluate its shifting role in the contemporary media landscape.
  • Explain the structural organization of television newsrooms and the editorial decision-making processes that shape broadcast news.
  • Critically assess the relationship between journalism ethics, news values, and professional standards in television contexts.
  • Question and reconstruct the relationship between television news and production.
  • Students will apply core journalism principles to identify, develop, and design newsworthy stories, demonstrating sound editorial judgment and producing structured, broadcast-ready content from initial concept to final script.
  • Apply fundamental journalism research methods to identify and verify news stories.
  • Select and justify news topics based on established news values and audience relevance.
  • Design original television news stories with clear editorial focus and production intent.
  • Write news scripts and conduct related research and production work for self-designed television news content.
  • Prepare and deliver news pitches to peers and professional evaluators.
  • Students will analyze and apply the principles of visual storytelling and operate professional production equipment, demonstrating technical competency across all stages of news production — from field shooting and studio work to editing and final delivery.
  • Analyze the role of images in constructing journalistic meaning and evaluate their ethical use in broadcast contexts.
  • Visualize self-designed television news content through appropriate visual choices and storytelling decisions.
  • Apply fundamental production approaches in television news — including camera positions, angles, scales, interview setups, and studio presentation — to self-designed news content.
  • Operate studio equipment including cameras, lighting rigs, and audio systems in a controlled production environment.
  • Apply field shooting techniques to capture footage appropriate for broadcast news packages.
  • Edit news content using industry-standard workflows to produce polished, broadcast-ready packages.
  • Students will develop professional competency in television news production primarily through team-based work. Working collectively across all stages, from story development and shooting to editing and final delivery, students will share production responsibilities, coordinate creative and technical roles, and collaboratively make editorial decisions to produce content that meets broadcast industry standards.
  • ssume and rotate through team-based production roles, including producer, director, reporter, camera operator, and editor, contributing actively to every stage of the collective production process.
  • Collaborate with team members to plan, shoot, and deliver news content that meets broadcast industry standards, distributing responsibilities equitably across the group.
  • Conduct and record professional-level news interviews in both field and studio settings, coordinating with the team on framing, sound, and interview direction.
  • Use news interview techniques effectively across different production contexts as part of a coordinated team effort.
  • Perform confidently as an on-camera presenter or field reporter within a team production, applying appropriate tone, pace, and journalistic language.
  • Resolve production and creative challenges collaboratively, drawing on the collective skills and perspectives of the team to improve the final output.
  • Contribute to the progressive development of a group production project from initial idea through to a professionally structured final delivery.
  • Incorporate feedback from instructor assessments and peer reviews to collectively and individually improve the team's work throughout the production process.
