Eskişehir Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences, founded in 1958, formed the basis of Anadolu University. The Academy was replaced by Anadolu University in 1982, which has gained a well-deserved place as a modern, dynamic and innovative institution among the largest universities not only in Türkiye, but also in the world.

Anadolu University Open Education System plays an essential role in overcoming educational problems of Türkiye not only by providing open and distance education to 1 million active students and 3.5 million graduates but also by developing specific projects. Kısa adıyla BAP (Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri), yüksek öğretim kurumlarındaki bilimsel araştırmaların desteklenmesi amacıyla geliştirilmiş bir uygulamadır. Bu uygulama YÖK'ün 01.01.2002 tarihinden geçerli olmak üzere yürülüğe aldığı Yükseköğretim Kurumları Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri Hakkında Yönetmelik uyarınca gerçekleştirilmektedir. Üniversitemizin tüm öğretim elemanları BAP Komisyonuna başvurarak bilimsel araştırmaları için kaynak alabilirler.

At Anadolu University, social and cultural activities are as important as education and scientific research. The University frequently holds scientific events such as conferences, seminars, panels, congresses and symposia, and cultural activities such as exhibitions, stage performances and concerts. In addition to smaller conference halls in each unit, Atatürk Culture and Arts Center, Congress Center and Cinema Anadolu on Yunusemre Campus house many activities throughout the year.

2. explain the trends of the artists at the time after Republic, groups of various art movements and exhibitions. 2.1 Explain the underlying reasons behind the establishment of the Union of Independent Painters and Sculptors explaining the important figures and art people involved in the organizational process. 2.2 Recognize Group D and Group 10 and Group New Branches. 2.3 Explain the trends in Turkish painting, the models of abstract and the models of figure painting. 2.4.explain the earliest ceramic artists, sculptors, art society in Turkish art and discuss the beginning of the criticism of art.
1.explain the renovation in art and culture in Republican period with significant examples on behalf of the groups and the exhibitions in details. 1.1 Explain the concept of " monument sculpture. 1.2 Compare the monument sculpture models within each other. 1.3 Explain the artist groups in this period.
3.evaluate exhibitions and biennials in Istanbul and other cities of Turkey. Examine the place of Turkish artists within the Modern World of Art. 3.1 Analyze Turkish Plastic Arts within art discussions and the books. 3.2 Analyze the biennials and the gallery exhibitions in Istanbul.
