Eskişehir Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences, founded in 1958, formed the basis of Anadolu University. The Academy was replaced by Anadolu University in 1982, which has gained a well-deserved place as a modern, dynamic and innovative institution among the largest universities not only in Türkiye, but also in the world.

Kısa adıyla BAP (Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri), yüksek öğretim kurumlarındaki bilimsel araştırmaların desteklenmesi amacıyla geliştirilmiş bir uygulamadır. Bu uygulama YÖK'ün 01.01.2002 tarihinden geçerli olmak üzere yürülüğe aldığı Yükseköğretim Kurumları Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri Hakkında Yönetmelik uyarınca gerçekleştirilmektedir. Üniversitemizin tüm öğretim elemanları BAP Komisyonuna başvurarak bilimsel araştırmaları için kaynak alabilirler.

At Anadolu University, social and cultural activities are as important as education and scientific research. The University frequently holds scientific events such as conferences, seminars, panels, congresses and symposia, and cultural activities such as exhibitions, stage performances and concerts. In addition to smaller conference halls in each unit, Atatürk Culture and Arts Center, Congress Center and Cinema Anadolu on Yunusemre Campus house many activities throughout the year.

Learning Outcomes

Methodology of commentary on the Qur'an
At the end of this course, students will have the ability to interpret the Qur'an.
They will be able to gain the ability to use the information on the Method of Tafsir while interpreting the Qur'an.
They will understand the techniques of interpretation of the Qur’an.
They will be able to develop ideas in line with the basic concepts of Tafsir in the interpretation of the Qur'an.
History of Tafsîr
By the end of this course students will be able to learn main knowledge in history of the commentary on the Qur'an.
They will recognize the Classical Tafsir schools.
They will see the strengths and weaknesses of classical and contemporary Tafsir schools.
While interpreting the Qur'an, they will benefit from the experiences of Tafsir schools.
Use of Scientific Resources
At the end of this course, students will gain the ability to benefit from basic scientific sources on the method and history of tafsir.
By updating the information in the sources, they will be able to improve their ability to apply them to current issues.
Getting behavioral models from verses of the Qur'an
At the end of this course, students will be able to transform the religious and moral directions in the verses into behavioral patterns.
They will be able to take various warnings for themselves from the stories of the Qur'an told in the lessons.
They will be able to assimilate the human and moral responsibilities mentioned in the verses.
