    Eskişehir Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences, founded in 1958, formed the basis of Anadolu University. The Academy was replaced by Anadolu University in 1982, which has gained a well-deserved place as a modern, dynamic and innovative institution among the largest universities not only in Türkiye, but also in the world.

    Kısa adıyla BAP (Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri), yüksek öğretim kurumlarındaki bilimsel araştırmaların desteklenmesi amacıyla geliştirilmiş bir uygulamadır. Bu uygulama YÖK'ün 01.01.2002 tarihinden geçerli olmak üzere yürülüğe aldığı Yükseköğretim Kurumları Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri Hakkında Yönetmelik uyarınca gerçekleştirilmektedir. Üniversitemizin tüm öğretim elemanları BAP Komisyonuna başvurarak bilimsel araştırmaları için kaynak alabilirler.

    At Anadolu University, social and cultural activities are as important as education and scientific research. The University frequently holds scientific events such as conferences, seminars, panels, congresses and symposia, and cultural activities such as exhibitions, stage performances and concerts. In addition to smaller conference halls in each unit, Atatürk Culture and Arts Center, Congress Center and Cinema Anadolu on Yunusemre Campus house many activities throughout the year.

Learning Outcomes

  • 1. Will be able to define the concept of aesthetics and have information about its historical process.
  • Defines the concepts of aesthetics, aesthetic subject, aesthetic object, aesthetic attitude and aesthetic taste.
  • Evaluates the concepts of visual arts and aesthetics in today's changing relationship between art and technology.
  • Will be able to evaluate visual arts and aesthetic concepts in today's changing relationship between art and technology.
  • Explains the development of photography and relates it to art.
  • Explains that photography is a two-dimensional application by understanding what two and three dimensions are in the act of looking-seeing.
  • Will be able to explain painting by light and dark box.
  • Have the knowledge and skills to explain the discovery of photography historically.
  • Exposure triangle explains the concept of aperture, shutter speed and ISO speed, exposure compensation and exposure metering mode, techniques such as freeze motion and long exposure.
  • Will be able to explain eye, visual sense and anatomy.
  • Knows the distinction between seeing and looking skills.
  • Defines the concept of perception with its functional features and types, explains the differences.
  • Will be able to explain the concepts and properties of light.
  • Explains natural and artificial light sources and their basic properties.
  • Knows the light, shadow and the use of filters depending on the light source.
  • Will be able to explain the importance of composition knowledge in composition and visual arrangements.
  • Defines basic design elements and principles in composition.
  • Explains composition types and third dimension creation methods and techniques.
  • Will be able to explain image and camera-image relationship.
  • Explains the first permanent images and viewers.
  • Knows the use of shooting scales, editing, and the importance of aesthetic concern in imaging.
  • Will be able to explain the concept of time.
  • Explains the characteristics of time and different approaches to the concept of time.
  • Explain the relationship between image, movement and time in different branches of art and mass media.
