Eskişehir Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences, founded in 1958, formed the basis of Anadolu University. The Academy was replaced by Anadolu University in 1982, which has gained a well-deserved place as a modern, dynamic and innovative institution among the largest universities not only in Türkiye, but also in the world.

Anadolu University Open Education System plays an essential role in overcoming educational problems of Türkiye not only by providing open and distance education to 1 million active students and 3.5 million graduates but also by developing specific projects. Kısa adıyla BAP (Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri), yüksek öğretim kurumlarındaki bilimsel araştırmaların desteklenmesi amacıyla geliştirilmiş bir uygulamadır. Bu uygulama YÖK'ün 01.01.2002 tarihinden geçerli olmak üzere yürülüğe aldığı Yükseköğretim Kurumları Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri Hakkında Yönetmelik uyarınca gerçekleştirilmektedir. Üniversitemizin tüm öğretim elemanları BAP Komisyonuna başvurarak bilimsel araştırmaları için kaynak alabilirler.

At Anadolu University, social and cultural activities are as important as education and scientific research. The University frequently holds scientific events such as conferences, seminars, panels, congresses and symposia, and cultural activities such as exhibitions, stage performances and concerts. In addition to smaller conference halls in each unit, Atatürk Culture and Arts Center, Congress Center and Cinema Anadolu on Yunusemre Campus house many activities throughout the year.

Learning Outcomes

Enumerate main principles and methods that are taken into consideration in solving contemporary legal problems
Will be able to explain how the science of fiqh plays an intermediary role in bringing religion and life together
Will be able to distinguish the provisions that are open and closed to change in fiqh.
Will be able to count the causes of today's fiqh problems
Will be able to summarize contemporary approaches and studies on today's fiqh problems.
Summarize modern approaches and views in contemporary legal issues related to worship and family life
Will be able to express how to determine prayer times in places where time is not available.
Will be able to compare the views of Islamic scholars on performing two prayers at once.
Evaluate the fasting and circumambulation of women on their special days.
Will be able to explain some controversial issues about zakat
Describe legal problems related to food production and medical practices
Will be able to list the basic principles of food and beverages
Will be able to express the foods prohibited in the Qur'an and Sunnah
Will be able to state the fiqh views on change in structure and feature and change through mixing.
Will be able to explain the provision of alcoholic beverages and addictive substance use.
İdentify legal problems related to commercial and financial activities.
Will be able to list the basic rules in Islamic fiqh about commercial life.
