Eskişehir Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences, founded in 1958, formed the basis of Anadolu University. The Academy was replaced by Anadolu University in 1982, which has gained a well-deserved place as a modern, dynamic and innovative institution among the largest universities not only in Türkiye, but also in the world.

Kısa adıyla BAP (Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri), yüksek öğretim kurumlarındaki bilimsel araştırmaların desteklenmesi amacıyla geliştirilmiş bir uygulamadır. Bu uygulama YÖK'ün 01.01.2002 tarihinden geçerli olmak üzere yürülüğe aldığı Yükseköğretim Kurumları Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri Hakkında Yönetmelik uyarınca gerçekleştirilmektedir. Üniversitemizin tüm öğretim elemanları BAP Komisyonuna başvurarak bilimsel araştırmaları için kaynak alabilirler.

At Anadolu University, social and cultural activities are as important as education and scientific research. The University frequently holds scientific events such as conferences, seminars, panels, congresses and symposia, and cultural activities such as exhibitions, stage performances and concerts. In addition to smaller conference halls in each unit, Atatürk Culture and Arts Center, Congress Center and Cinema Anadolu on Yunusemre Campus house many activities throughout the year.

After the end of this course, the student 1. explains the basic concepts on 19th century Ottoman architecture 1.1. states to the effects results in 19th century Ottoman architecture. 1.2. expreses development to 19th century Ottoman architecture since its beginning 1.2. states the 19th century Ottoman architecture style and its artists in relation with the ideology and architecture. 2. identifies basic features of the 19th century Ottoman architecture by its artists and works. 2.1. Explain the similarities and differences of the works and the sytle of D'Aranco, Vallaury, Helmut Juno, Otto Rither 2.2. classifies architectural works according to the their eras. 2.3. defines the architectural works, artists and decorations by the periods 3. explains 19th century Ottoman architecture based on political, social, religious, economic and artistic relevant 3.1. analyses the socio-cultural effects on the artists and their works 3.2.discusses the political, social, religious, economic and art of the era according to buildings and their architectural features. 4. analyses the problems of 19th century Ottoman architecture throughout in historical process 4.1. Categorizes 19th century Ottoman architecture's building by their style with the catalog method 4.2. discusses the problems of 19th century Ottoman architecture and definition for style issues 4.3. discusses the results of studies on 19th century Ottoman architecture
