A team of experts in educational technology and technical staff with the help of technologically advanced equipment play an important role in the production of radio and TV programs which supplement the textbooks.

There is a collaborative work to produce the radio and TV programs. The program coordinators, editors, screen writers and directors work together to create the scenario, produce and deliver programs which would best help students in learning.

Over the past two decades, approximately 5200 TV programs have been produced for distance education programs. 508 academic staff dwelled on educational TV programs that are broadcast on TRT 4. TV programs are broadcast 24 weeks per year, 37 hours per week, a total of 888 hours per year. Each program is broadcast at least twice a year. The radio programs are broadcast on TRT Radio 1. The number of radio programs has reached 400.

TV programs for Economics, Business Administration and Open Education Faculties; bachelor’s degree programs in Economics, Business Administration, English Language Teaching and Pre-School Teaching; associate degree programs in Economics and Administration, Social Sciences, Theology; and associate degree programs for Turkish Air Force, Army, Naval Force, Gendarmerie and Police Forces are broadcast on TRT 4 between 10:00 - 13:00 am every day and 21:30-00:30 pm every night throughout the academic year 2006-2007 as from January 18, 2006.

Radio programs are broadcast on TRT Radio 1 between 21.20-22.00 on Monday, Thursday and Friday as from January, 18 2006. Radio programs finish on June 1, 2007. Click here for detailed information about radio broadcasting.
