The Graduate School of Educational Sciences was founded in 1993.Since 1998 the Institute has been offering graduate programs, both Master of Arts (MA) with/without thesis and Doctorate (PhD), in order to train students in educational sciences and as teachers.The Educational Sciences Institute consists of seven departments and fourteen programs providing MA and PhD programs for students. Additionally, the Institute has been offering Secondary School Field Teaching MA non-thesis course program since 1998 for those who would like to be teachers. The aim of the Institute is to train students with both academic and pedagogical knowledge that would enable them to perform in a constantly changing world, and thus prepare students for present and future endeavors. |

Graduate Institute for the Handicapped was founded at Anadolu University, Eskisehir, Turkey in 1993 as the first and only Institute in its kind in Turkey. Currently, there are six full-time faculty members (one professor, one associate professor, and four assistant professors), one part-time faculty member (associate professor), four research associates, and five teachers working at the Institute. The majority of the research conducted in the Institute consists of single-subject experimental studies examining the effectiveness of instruction provided to children with DD and their families. However, when needs arise, qualitative research methods are also utilized. Twelve funded research projects have been completed in the Institute all of which resulted with the development, implementation, and evaluation of instructional programs for teaching various social, academic, and life skills to individuals with developmental disabilities. |

The Institute is established at the Anadolu University by the law published on Resmi Gazete issue 21672 on 18th August, 1993 and began postgraduate education at the spring semester of 1993-1994. In addition to the courses for Doctorate and Master of Sciences related to departments of Faculty of Pharmacy, other programmes were included after the establishment of the institute. Department of Physical Education and Sport began postgraduate education at the spring semester of 1994-1995; and Department of Speech and Language Pathology began postgraduate education at the spring semester of 2000-2001 and Department of Biochemistry at the spring semester of 2001-2002. |

Social Sciences Institute was established in 1982-1983 education year. The Institute has more than twenty programmes of masters or doctorates.The main aim of the Social Sciences Institute is to organize and administrate Masters and Doctorate programmes in related science and art branches. The Institute also aims to educate research assistances and young employees of the private sector to contribute their human resources. By the non-thesis evening MBA programme, the Institute tries to reach that aim. In Addition, from 1999 in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus; from 2003, with collaboration of University of Cologne, the Institute starts two non-thesis MBA programmes in Cyprus and Cologne. Anadolu University is one of the few universities in Turkey, which was doctorate programs. With this feature Anadolu University Social Sciences Institute helps other Universities to educate their research assistances. |
