Dear Colleagues,
First of all, we would like to thank the
Turkish Electron Microscopy Society president and executive
committee members for giving us this opportunity to organise the
18th Electron Microscopy Congress between 26th to
29th of August 2007 at the beautiful campus of Anadolu
University in Eskisehir, Turkey.
Eskisehir is centrally situated in West part
of Turkey with easy accesses from all cities and countries
(through Istanbul) from which delegates to the congress are
coming. With two major universities and large industrial sites,
Eskisehir is a developing city of recent years. It hass
continental climate and in August the weather is hot but dry
during day time and very comfortable during night time for
goodnight sleeping!
In the past few years, there have been major
developments in many fields of microscopy including imaging and
chemical analysis of various matters and as a consequence
microscopy techniques are fast becoming irreplaceable techniques
for the advancement of science and technology. The areas which
microscopy covers are not only limited to medical science,
biology, materials science, but also extend to all kinds of
natural sciences including bio- and nano-technologies. The 18th
electron microscopy congress promises to be an exciting meeting,
introducing the most recent developments and applications in
these fields and bringing different disciplines as well as
different group of microscopes together.
Until the start of the congress, your
suggestions, support and help would be very important and
valuable to us. Please extend our invitation to your colleagues
and advertise our web site to succeed large participation to the
congress.
