papers with a minimum of 1.5 and a maximum of double line spacing.
The original and all reproductions of the manuscripts must be
legible. Margins on the page should be at least 2 cm. Page numbers
must be placed at the bottom or in the upper right corner. Font size
should be at least 10 pt.
2.
First page of the manuscript should include title, authors’ names
and institutions, an abstract, and keywords (min. 3, max. 7). Title,
abstract, and keywords must be provided both in English and Turkish.
However, in the case of articles in English, the editors may
undertake the translation should the authors can not write in
Turkish. Corresponding author should be indicated by a footnote and
besides his/her full mailing address, a fax number, if available,
and an e-mail address should also be provided. In addition,
supporting agencies, etc. may also be indicated by a footnote on the
first page.
3.
The abstract should not exceed 200 words for reviews and
research articles, 100 for technical notes and 50 for
letters to the editor. Equations, citations, uncommon
abbreviations, and the like should not be included in the abstract.
4.
The text should start with the Introduction on the second page,
and be divided into appropriate sections. Sections must be numbered
consecutively. Section headings must be written in upper case with
their numbers (as “1. INTRODUCTION”) and centered. Sections may be
divided into subsections as necessary. Subsections must be numbered
as “1.1”, “1.2”, etc., using the section number. Subsection headings
must be written left justified with their numbers and the first
letter of each word must be capitalized. The final section must be
Conclusion(s)/Discussion. References and, if any, Acknowledgements
and Appendices must follow this section. Figure captions, figures,
and tables must be prepared on separate pages and attached at the
end of the manuscript.
5.
Manuscripts, including figures and tables, should not exceed 50
pages for reviews, 35 for research articles, 20 for
technical notes, and 10 for letters to the editor.
6.
Units should conform to a unit system (preferably SI).
7.
Latin names should be provided for all the species, except for
standart experimental animals.
8.
Non-standart notation and abbreviations must be defined as they
first appear in the text. Alternatively, they may be defined in the
Introduction or in a following section.
9.
Equations and formulas must be numbered consecutively and their
number must be written right justified in parantheses. They must be
referenced within the text by using their numbers in parantheses.
Complex chemical formulas unsuitable for the text must be prepared
as figures.
10.
All drawings, complex chemical formulas, graphics, photographs,
etc. should be regarded as figures. A copy of each figure should be
attached to the manuscript. Original figures which are ready for
reproduction should be sent upon the acceptance of the manuscript.
Figures should be numbered consecutively. In the text, they should
be referred as "Figure 1". An appropriate caption should be used for
each figure and typed on a separate page with the figure number.
11.
Tables should be numbered consecutively. In the text, they should
be referred as "Table 1". An appropriate heading should be used for
each table and typed at the top of the table with the table number.
12.
Citations to other publications should be made in the text by
using surname of the author and year as "(Author, 1999)" or "Author
(1999)". For publications with two authors, surnames of both authors
should be used as "(Author and Author, 2000)" or "Author and Author
(2000)". Publications having more than two authors should be cited
by giving only the surname of the first author as "Author et al.",
and by typing the year in the aforementioned manner. Cited
publications should be listed alphabetically in the References
according to the surnames of the first authors. To sort publications
with the same first author, the surname of the second and following
authors should be used. Publications of the same authors should be
sorted according to their year of publication chronologically.
Publications which have the same authors and publication years
should be distinguished in the text by using lower case letters such
as "1999a" and "1999b". Publications having three or more authors
with the same first author and same year should be distinguished in
the same manner. Surnames and initials of all authors must appear in
the References. References should be written according to the
following examples:

should also clearly state that the manuscript has not been published
previously, not been accepted for publication, and is not currently
being considered for publication elsewhere.
