School of Industrial Arts was established in 1993 as one of the new departments of Anadolu University. The school's education program consists of one-year elective English Preparation School followed by four years of undergraduate program. Education in Industrial Design and Fashion Design departments started respectively in 2000 and 2001. Academic and technical staff, design studios aiming application based education, workshops and computer laboratories; all, constitute the basis of the programs in the school. Computer laboratories serve the students who need to use the high technology equipment and advanced modelling software. The purpose of the school is to train qualified designers who have both technical and aesthetic knowledge, needed by national and international establishments.
